I really never expect these devices to be what they claim, and this is a very reasonably priced panel, so my expectations were lowered.
Imagine my surprise to find the emission peak right on 650nm +/- 5nm?! Right where the clinical tests for other devices wants it. (630nm and 650nm are most widely tested)
If there’s going to be any therapeutic value, it won’t be for months. I’m currently using it against the back of my hands about 15cm away for 25-30mins 2x/wk. We’ll see!
As far as being what it claims? Five stars for that. Be aware there’s some radiant heating, these are large emitters. Nothing I can’t touch/hold in my hand – but it gets “warm”.

This works really well on smaller areas. its large size is a bit deceving because the lights are well focused. this heats the impacted area nicely and i like that i can use just near IR or red or both. very nice product for the money. feels really well constructed also

This is my second red light device I have purchased. Although it’s less expensive than my primary one, it does work just as well. It’s very light, and what separates this from the others on Amazon is the portable stand which can be used for positioning. The flat back is great so I can put my feet on top of it as it is reenergizing my toes. After the First night of use, my feet felt amazing, it was as if I could feel more blood circulating around the area. It’s very light and I keep it under my desk out of the way while I work away on my computer. I have neuropathy and this is a welcomed addition to my health routine. May get another one to place above my head to see if I can regrow my hair. :). I also use it as a night light.
