It’s my fault for assuming there was only one Chanel number 5, but I was not as happy with the scent as I was with previous purchases of Chanel. It’s a bit on the powdery side for my taste, and I will be careful in future to order the scent my wife used to use. This one is fine, don’t get me wrong, and the nature of Chanel and how little of their perfume you have to use makes for a good value for money even though the price is a little high.

This is a FAKE Chanel No. 5. Do not buy it. The different notes of this Chanel are not authentic. This does not smell like the real No. 5. The packaging is also a red flag. They have done an extremely good job of trying to fool people into thinking this is an authentic product. The outer box is not the correct color tone and feel. The label on the perfume bottle is slightly off. The numbers on the box and bottle are not correct. The cut crystal top which represents Vendome, is not authentic. The top’s angles are rounded, thicker and is not a Chanel top. The band around the top is also wrong in color and texture. Again they have done a very good job of making this look like the real deal. Chanel has very strict parameters for its bottles and perfumes. This is not authentic Chanel but you are paying top dollar for this knockoff.
