If there were a pill that was scientifically proven to help you look 10 years younger, lose fat, improve hormonal health, fight pain and inflammation, increase strength/endurance, heal faster, improve your brain health and increase your energy levels, it would be a billion-dollar blockbuster drug. Hundreds of millions of people would be told to start taking it by their doctors every day. And doctors all over the world would call it a “miracle drug.” Here’s the crazy part: That “drug” exists. But it’s not a pill. It’s red light therapy! Did you know that light has the power to heal your body and optimize your health? Of course, everyone knows about the importance of vitamin D from sunlight (from UV light). But few are aware that there is another type of light that may be just as vital to our health – red and near-infrared light. Think it’s all just hype? Think again! Believe it or not, there are now over 3,000 peer-reviewed scientific studies showing incredible health and anti-aging benefits of red and near-infrared light therapy. But it gets even better… While you used to have to spend $100 or more to get treatments done in a medical or anti-aging clinic (where this technology has been used for decades), new breakthroughs have allowed us to harness these benefits in the comfort of our own home, without the need to spend thousands on an expensive laser device or $100 per treatment at a health/anti-aging clinic. We can now do red light therapy at home, as much as we want, at a tiny fraction of the cost. In this book, Ari Whitten – bestselling author, health expert and founder of The Energy Blueprint – cuts through all the confusion, myths and pseudoscience around this complex topic, and takes you on a deep dive into the science of how to use red/near-infrared light therapy to improve your health, your body and your life in dozens of ways. Inside this book, you’ll learn how to use red/near-infrared light therapy to: • Fight skin aging, wrinkles, and cellulite and look 10 years younger • Lose fat (nearly twice as with diet and exercise alone) • Rid your body of chronic inflammation • Fight the oxidative damage that drives aging • Increase strength, endurance, and muscle mass • Decrease pain • Combat hair loss • Build resilience to stress at the cellular level • Speed up wound/injury healing • Combat some autoimmune conditions and improve hormonal health • Optimize your brain function and mood • Overcome fatigue and improve energy levels You’ll also get critical information to get the best results, including: • Specific dosing guidelines for every type of treatment (and how to avoid common mistakes) • The 5 “bioactive” types of light that affect human cell function and human health • Which health issues respond best to red/near-infrared light therapy • The big mistakes people make when giving themselves red light treatments (and exactly how to do treatments to get the best results) • The best light devices to get (and why most devices on the market are a waste of money) • Exact protocols for how to use red/near-infrared light therapy for everything from fat loss, to brain optimization, to skin anti-aging Optimal light exposure habits are as essential to good health as good nutrition habits. But the big problem is that, just as many people eat diets of processed junk food and fast food, most people are eating “light diets” of “junk light” and end up with chronic “mal-illumination.” This book will show you how to fix that. Red and near-infrared light therapy is one of the biggest health breakthroughs in the last half century. If you’re serious about your health and improving your body, it’s time to start using this powerful tool in your life. If you are thinking of buying a red light or near infra red light unit, this is a must read. Gives you lots of information as to the “why you should have one”, “what type you should consider” and all the scientific gumf, if you are that way inclined. Not specifically linked to any marketing company. That has to be a good thing.

I have used for years the FAR and Near-Infrared sauna and light therapies on my patients. These are very important therapies to maintain your health. Read this book.

This information could save you thousands of dollars! Through personal experience, I already knew that red light therapy was useful. I had received LLLT cold laser treatments that helped me regain the use of my arm after a long period of debilitating pain in my shoulder. My story: Chronic shoulder pain following an attack of shingles caused my shoulder to freeze up and I literally could not lift my arm for a year. The slightest movement would send excruciating pain through my shoulder, I could not stand, sit, walk or lay down without being in pain. After the first few weeks of this chronic pain my rotator cuff muscles atrophied. I’m not a big fan of over-the-counter pain relievers, since I know they can damage your organs and are not good to take constantly on a long-term basis. And pain relievers don’t heal your problem either. I tried physical therapy and Chiropractic, ice packs, heat packs but nothing made a dent in the pain until I tried low level laser therapy (cold laser treatments). I went to a laser therapist suggested by a friend and after the first treatment I got some incredible relief – like my body forgot about the nagging stabbing pain when trying to lift my arm and gave me a break for a bit. I returned for many laser sessions which I attribute to finally healing my shoulder and regaining the ability to use my arm. It helped relieve pain, allowing me to move and start to regain muscle. However laser treatments are expensive – about $100 an hour for my therapist, and I could not afford to go regularly since I had been underemployed from the disability.

Then I learned through Ari Whitten’s Energy Blueprint Program that red light therapy could be done effectively in other ways using red LED panels; that I could get a home device that I could regularly use for the same purpose as the laser treatments I was getting.
What’s more, Ari had looked at all the scientific research and tested out lots of devices and determined which ones actually work to deliver the results that research talks about.

This new book on red light therapy is comprehensive. It not only outlines the scientific research that shows red light is beneficial and healing to the human body, but gives you practical instruction on how to evaluate the effectiveness of a device, how to use the light to get various benefits, and be time efficient doing red light treatments on yourself. He also recommends powerful and effective devices that are affordable and lets you know where to get them.

If you have any interest in red light therapy this is the book to get!

A fantastic readable book. Sometimes a little scientific, hence you can skip those sentences. He makes it al clear, when u want to buy a red/nir machine…

  7. bernisim

Full of details if you want, but author say what to skip if you need only practical advices and buying advice
Very good bibliography and scientific explanation without going too deep (good for normal persons, health practictioning, not for researchers)

I am very interested in finding out as much as I can about red light therapy. My online research uncovered mostly advertising for products or services. So I went to a local spa and used their 630nm florescent light bed, which was a converted tanning bed. I was skeptical because the lights weren’t that red (like shown in their advertising) and the bed got very, very warm. But after 3-4 visits I noticed my skin was much smoother, really silky, and firmer so I do think believe it works. But I think it is one of those things that one must continue with in order to maintain the results. I noticed that when I let too many days go between uses, that I kind of lost the benefit I gained. However, considering the cost and distance to the spa, this was not something I wanted to do forever. I wanted to figure out how to do this at home and thought this book would help.

The author gives a lot of good information as to what red light therapy is and the physiology of how it works, but a big chunk of the book is reviews and recommendations of a few commercially-available products. He is very clear that he does not believe it is possible to set up one’s own red light therapy but must buy one of the recommended products which are very expensive and have been out there on the market for a while. He says he has spent many thousands of dollars trying to make his own at home, which I don’t doubt. But it makes me wonder if he didn’t decide to recoup his money by getting sponsored and writing this book which comes across to me as advertising. I am unsure of his “credentials” other than he seems to be good at promoting, although he may have done his research for the information in this book and I am using some of his information for intensity, distance and duration.

Since then, I have set up a home system that seems to be perfectly adequate at a fraction of the cost. As LED lights on the market quickly improve, perhaps his information on what is available currently that would work has become out of date. I found 660nm 25w red light bulbs on Amazon, set them up in directional desktop reading lamps supported by ankle weights (so they do not tip over), and they are working perfectly fine. Five minutes, 6 inches away, every or every other day, give or take depending on results. I use six of them and shift my body for coverage. My results seem to be similar to what I was getting at the spa. I use them for skin aging issues mostly, but I’ve also used it on my tendonitis elbow with good results. I have not tried the near-infrared bulbs yet since my issues have been mostly cosmetic, but they would be able to be interchanged with the LEDs into my 4″ diameter lamp if I buy the bulb.

I would suspect that this author would not approve of my homemade design and I am no expert by any means. Do you own research and don’t rely on what I do or say – I might be wrong – and my results are experiential and not scientific. It works for me. But if you are unsure of doing it on your own, by all means, buy the commercial product. Red light therapy works, in my opinion. My only question is what the long-term effects might be, good or bad. I haven’t found that answer yet.
