I purchased this watch for work. As a nurse, I need the exact date and time in military time and seconds, so this watch is perfect. It’s the 3rd of this kind that I’ve ordered over the years and this one is definitely my favorite. Much easier to program than previous models and the look is very feminine and cute. Of course being water resistant is important since I have to wash my hands a million times a day. I’m hoping it will last a long time as previous models have. Usually the plastic band breaks from daily wear and tear before the battery has ever stopped, but that’s after years of daily use. That’s why I prefer to stick with this brand. They’ve always been very durable, lightweight, and effective for what I need it for. I would definitely recommend. This version is the cutest, like I would wear it even when not working. So I’m very happy with it.

Sometimes you just need a basic, quality watch. It is a great size for my daughter’s wrist, water resistant and looks good. She uses it for timing runs and wearing around during the day. Great value for the price.

Love wearing a timex for work and this one is great. Stylish but with all the essential timex features I need such as a timer and indiglo light.

  5. Kyra Moore

Great value and this is nice, low-key but functional and sleek timepiece. I bought it to replace an older Ironman (bulkier) watch that finally reached end of life after LOTS of adventures (still functions, but strap and face just really couldn’t be taken into corporate or social settings without expectation of some heckling). I REALLY like most of the new features (especially the dual time zones, hourly chime (can toggle on/off), and Indiglo applied to the numbers/text rather than as background), I probably would have switched to this earlier if I had known of them. Slight negative that the hourly chime toggle is nested within the time setting workflow, so can’t just nearly instantly switch it when heading into movie/performance/other setting where want to silence it fully. I can’t speak to the water resistance of this one yet, have been taking it off to shower and haven’t been swimming yet. (Taking it off to shower in part because had seen other reviews noting that the trim around the dial may not be long-lasting. So out of caution to extend its appearance, I’ll probably remove it for salt/chlorinated water swims (not timing laps)). Only other aspect should note is that the feature that helps to “lock” the strap band at end (bit of a nub to catch) is bit tricky when putting it on / taking it off, may be even more so for those with arthritis or other condition that would make it extra challenging/frustrating to maneuver and engage.

Quite happy with it overall though, just a slight annoyance when putting on / taking off (which may not apply for most if they just leave it on).

Watch was defective right out of the box. Of course, I didn’t realize this at first – I just thought I wasn’t operating it correctly. Specifically, I could not figure out how to set the watch. I pressed the set button, held it down, and nothing. I tried to check the instructions but discovered there are none, instead there’s just a useless piece of paper that tells you in 10 different languages to find your own instructions online. So I went online and poked around Timex’s website for a while until I finally found the correct set of instructions. I followed the instructions but still could not get the stupid watch to set. After messing around with some of the features for a while, I finally realized that the “set” button was defective. The watch did not register the button being pushed, regardless of how long I held it down.

So now I am exchanging for another one.

Sometimes you get a bad product, which to me means maybe Timex doesn’t have great quality control. I knock off 2 stars for that.

The other two stars come off because of the total lack of instructions. Why did they feel compelled to include a large, rolled up piece of paper that just says, in 10 languages no less, to go online for instructions? Why not just take that seem piece of paper, and print the instructions on it?

I have only ever owned timex Ironman watches and they are fantastic. My fav Ironman watch broke after 5 years so I decided to go for this model instead. After having this for over one year, this is what I’ve noticed: the chrome finish started coming off within 2 months and only little of it remains now and the band has browned significantly(even though it’s already the blush color). However, big disclaimer, I wear this watch 24/7, so that may affect the weathering on the product. On the other hand of the argument, I love the display and how clear it is, it holds up very well in the water, and I like how it looks more mature for a sporty watch. So, all in all, for the price, I still think this watch is worth it.

This is the best watch for someone with an active lifestyle. It’s durable and waterproof while still being fashionable. It’s easy to set the time and date and has a feature to illuminate the face so you can see it in the dark. I have the navy/rose gold combo and really like the way it looks. I wear it hiking, walking, swimming, weight lifting and biking. I’m very happy with my purchase and recommend it to others.

Very pleased – like the looks, ease of setting even though no instructions included, I was able to figure out. Happy with the flexibility in what I can wear with. Looks great with everything!
