I got this as a Christmas present for my husband, who is a huge Dr. Who fan. He LOVED it. The watch is exactly as pictured and described, easy to open (just press the crown at the top) and operate. There’s a “quirky yet perfect” vibe to it. Ideal present for a Whovian. I’m so happy I got this.

I received an attractive pocket watch that has a Dr. Who themed case. It is accompanied by a 12 inch chain that is attached to the watch at one end, and it has a wire clip on the other, that is suitable to clip it to the edge of a pocket. This might be appealing to the many fans of Dr. Who, and comes in a small padded box that could be suitable as a gift. The watch is quite light in weight, making it easy to carry around in one’s pocket. When the top of the watch is depressed, a catch is released and the front of the watch flips opens to reveal the time piece inside the case. The case is made of metal, and has quite attractive engraving similar to the watch seen on Dr. Who. I opened up the back of the watch, which was quite easy using a small screwdriver, and confirmed the watch I received has a quartz movement and runs off a small SR626SW silver oxide battery. I checked the accuracy of the watch over the span of 2 days, and found that my watch lost about 1 second per day, which I consider quite reasonable. Overall, a nice themed pocket watch.

My son’s Christmas gift arrived loose in the box, open and not working. The gift box it was enclosed in wasn’t secured shut and came loose during shipping. A piece of tape could’ve kept the item from being broken. Not happy.

While not terribly screen-accurate (it is bronze rather than silver and the pattern is far too thick), all of my nerdiest friends have recognized the pattern instantly. Other than that there’s not much that stands out about it; it feels good enough to hold and the watchface design inside is cute. Not for a prop collector, but enough for a cosplayer, or just a fan.
